1282994 Releasable hose couplings GEORGE ANGUS & CO Ltd 5 July 1971 [9 July 1970] 33437/70 Heading F2G A releasable coupling for fire hoses comprises male and female coupling halves 10, 11, Fig. 1, of plastics with a sealing washer 16 between them, held in engagement by a pair of radially movable spring-biased metal dogs 22, Fig. 3, in housings 13 on the female coupling half, the dogs 22 being of such width that they extend over an angle of 35-75 degrees at the centre line of the coupling.
