A coupling for tubes, e.g. used in breathing apparatus, comprises components of natural or synthetic rubber the spigot 1 or the socket 2 being provided with a bead 4 of rounded, triangular or truncated triangular section and the socket 2 or the spigot having a groove or bead of corresponding section, the components being snapped into engagement with one another so as to be relatively axially retained or interlocked and relatively rotatable. The components may be of elbow, T-, cross or other form, and include an air valve.
