Abstract

1281854 Sliding clasp fastener LYSTA AS 19 April 1971 [14 Feb 1970] 20148/71 Heading E2S A sliding clasp fastener has folded-back textile stringer tapes 2 to provide a margin 6, and rows of interlocking elements 3, including interlocking members 4 and connecting sections 5 which are preferably thinner than the members 4, as shown. The elements 3 are extruded as continuous strands with a smooth underside surface 7 from a thermoplastic synthetic material and attached to the margins 6 by bonding at the surface 7 such that the interlocking heads 4 project slightly beyond the folded edges 1. The elements may be bonded by welding or during the extrusion process.
