Abstract
1281164 Sintered ferrous alloys BRICO ENG Ltd 13 Oct 1969 [29 Oct 1968] 51205/68 Headings C7A and C7D A sintered alloy comprises:- Co 8-12% Mo 2-10% Ni 10-17% C 0-0À2% Cr 0-5% Cu 0-5% Sn 0-5% and Ti 0-1À6% the balance apart from impurities, being Fe. The powder may be mixed with a die lubricant (e.g. 1% zinc stearate) compacted (e.g. at 31-95 kg/mm<SP>2</SP> ) and sintered in a protective atmosphere at 1100-1300‹C. (e.g. for 3-5 hours) or sintered for a shorter time (e. g. 1-2 hours) cooled to room temperature, repressed (e. g. at up to 95 hg/mm<SP>2</SP> ) and resintered at 1100-1300‹C. (e. g. for 2-4 hours). The compacts may then be annealed at 730-900‹C. air cooled and aged at 470-620‹C.
