Abstract

1279696 Pivotable seats ETABS SABLE FRERES 27 Nov 1969 [27 Dec 1968] 58141/69 Heading A4J A seat bottom 5 for use in agricultural and public works vehicles is pivotable from a position in which the bottom is horizontally disposed to a position in which the bottom is substantially vertical Fig.2 (not shown) and thereby acting as a back support. The seat bottom 5 is guided between the two positions by front and rear links 8 and 9 pivotally connected to a seat support bracket 1 and the seat bottom 5. When the seat bottom is horizontally disposed the lower surface of the front link 8 abuts against a stop 21 on the support 1. The seat bottom 5 is locked in the vertical position by the engagement of pivot pin 17 in the guide slot 23.
