Abstract

1279347 Reciprocating pumps A COZIC 29 May 1970 [6 June 1969 2 Oct 1969] 26032/70 Heading F1A A bilge pump operated by rocking movement of the boat comprises diaphragm pump units actuated by a crank pin 10 on a shaft 8 oscillated or rotated by an unbalanced mass 15 of arcuate shape Fig. 2 (not shown). As shown there are two pump units, each comprising a diaphragm 2 and inlet and outlet ball valves 30, 21, respectively, connected through annular passages 27, 18 to common inlet 28 and common outlet 24. In Figs. 5 to 8 (not shown) three pump units are driven by the crank pin 10, and are connected to a common inlet and common outlet. The pump casing may be of moulded synthetic material or corrosion-resistant metal.
