Abstract

1278669 Pressure steaming KONTO DYEING & FINISHING CO Ltd 8 Oct 1969 [9 Oct 1968] 49537/69 Heading D1L The sealed outlet of a pressure steaming vessel 4 comprises a cooling liquid/squeeze roll device having an outlet casing 7 terminated by a pair of metal rolls 6 and a rubber roll 8 and containing cooling water 10 supplied through a pipe having a casing inlet 11, pump PP and a temperature-actuated valve DV 2 and discharged through a pipe having a casing outlet 12 and a liquid level actuated valve DV 1 . The water may be recirculated and cooled. The outlet 12 may be arranged as an overflow, the valve DV 1 being replaced by a steam trap. The material 1 to be treated may be a disperse dyed polyester fabric cooled to at least 50‹C on passing through the outlet and may be a fibre bundle or knitted or woven. A similar device may be disposed at the entrance to the steamer.
