Abstract
1277146 Welding by fusion TSENTRALNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT TEKHNOLOGII MASHINOSTROENIA 4 Aug 1970 37653/70 Heading B3R [Also in Division C7] A consumable electrode for arc welding, particularly of defects in castings of heat resistant steel, comprises a rod containing, by weight thereof, C 0À04- 0À08% Si 0À20- 0À50% Mn 5À0 -10% Mo 6À0 - 7À5% Ni 55À0 -65À0% Ti 0À25- 0À9% Fe Balance and a coating of the basic type. Deposited metal by the electrode has high plasticity, is not liable to precipitation hardening, and is resistant to formation of pores and hot and cold cracks. The coating may contain, by weight thereof, marble 20-40% fluorite 15-30% metallic manganese 10-20% titanium dioxide 10-20% potash 1- 2%, water glass being used as a binder.
