1275130 Plate heat exchangers MORINAGA MILK INDUSTRY CO Ltd 24 Dec 1969 62941/69 Heading F4S In a heat exchanger in which marginal gaskets separate adjacent rectangular plates of a plate pack from each other, the plates are transversely corrugated to provide a sinuous path for fluid flowing between adjacent plates e.g. 10A, 10B, wherein the distance between adjacent plates measured normal to the plate surface increases and decreases repeatedly in said path from 2 m/m to 5 m/m (e.g. at dimensions 71, 71<SP>1</SP>, 72, 73 and 73<SP>1</SP>) and the distance from a peak to a trough (e.g. between points 74 and 75 or 76) measured linearly (and being equal to dimension P) is from 9 to 14 m/m.
