Abstract

1,273,784. Change-speed gear. CHELYABINSKY TRAKTORNY ZAVOD. 10 June, 1969, No. 29245/69. Heading F2D. A tractor transmission comprises an input shaft in two aligned coupled parts 2, 25, the part 25 carrying fast wheels 3, 4, 5, meshing freely mounted wheels 13, 14, 15 and 17, 18, 19, clutchable to parallel countershafts 6, 7, driving the respective sides of the tractor through planetary reverse gears 80, 81 and universal joints 82. The two parts 2, 25 of the input shaft are coupled by an internal torsion shaft 26, which may be short, as shown in full lines, or, for use with an auxiliary step-down or step-up gear attachment 34, the short torsion shaft 26 may be replaced by a long one (shown dotted) to drive the input pinion of the two-stage countershaft auxiliary gear 34, which, when required, is attached as a unit to the main gearcasing. The planetary reverse gears each comprise input and output suns 70, 73 clutched together at 61 for forward drive; and intermeshed short and long planets 71, 72 in a carrier 23, bandbraked at 78 for reverse. An output brake band 81 is provided on each reverse gear. Power take-off, with the tractor moving or stationary is provided from the internally splined ends of both countershafts 6, 7 and the input shaft 25. The friction clutches are all spring-released, and engaged by pressure fluid supplied to annular pistons through shaft duets. A constructional embodiment is shown.
