A cord yarn of rayon filaments is characterised in that the individual filaments have a titre of 2.4-6.7 latex and the yarn has an asymmetric twist construction such that the final twist is from 450-550 turns per metre and the pretwist is from 100-200 turns per metre less than the final twist in the opposite sense of rotation.
