Abstract
1,272,739. Laminates. J. RIEKER, [trading as DcJUSTUS RIEKER & CO.]. 7 April, 1970 [26 April, 1969], No. 16531/70. Heading B5N. [Also in Division A3] A tongue, e.g. for a ski-boot or other footwear with tension levers fasteners, includes a layer of padding 1, e.g. of cellular plastics material, and a moisture-impermeable shaped element 2 of hard material, e.g. polystyrene or hard polyvinyl chloride, which conforms to the shape of the instep and is disposed adjacent the padding 1 over the outer surface thereof. The element 2 may be in the form of a solid injection moulding or may be a hollow body (not shown). The tongue may be covered on both sides with layers 3, 4 of leather which may be bonded to the layers 1, 2 or which may be in the form of a pocket in which the layers 1, 2 are inserted.
