1,272,398. Liquid level indication. ALKALINE BATTERIES Ltd. Aug. 11, 1969 [Aug.13, 1968], No.38702/68. Heading G1H. An electric storage cell 15 has a liquid level monitoring apparatus therein comprising a probe 11 arranged to dip into the liquid electrolyte 13, as long as the liquid is above a predetermined level and connected to an electric current source, such as the cell terminal 17, and an amplifier 20, such as a transistor amplifier, Fig.2 (not shown), responsive to a voltage drop which energizes a relay to give a warning signal when the liquid level falls.
