Abstract

1,268,590. Feeding webs. CREUSOTLOIRE. 26 June, 1970 [8 July, 1969], No. 31117/70. Heading B8R. [Also in Division B6] To make possible registration adjustment of a web 11 which is being fed through a plurality of printing stations 1, 2 the web is fed, between the stations 1 and 2 over a tensioning roller 4, mounted on a pivoted lever, the position of which can be locked and adjusted, e.g. by a telesoopic link 44. The roller 4 is urged resiliently to lengthen the loop which the web forms over it, e.g. by a spring. Registration is brought about by lengthening or shortening the link 44, which consists of a tube with an internally screw-threaded ring at one end and a screw which engages the ring, at a time when the resilient tensioning action of the spring, and consequent pivoting of the lever, is disabled.
