Abstract

1,265,779. Roller blinds. DAIMLER-BENZ A.G. Dec.17, 1970 [Dec.30, 1969], No.59943/70. Heading A4B. A roller blind assembly comprises a bottom rod 2 attached to the blind 1, a guiding member 3 attached to each end of the rod 2 and a U-or C- section rail 4 which slidably receives the guiding member 3, the latter comprising a body in the form of a truncated core which is oval shaped when viewed in the axial direction and is dispersed with its major axis extending along the length of the rail 4. The guiding member 3 is formed of plastics material and includes a cavity 7 to provide resilient side parts which bear on the sides 5 of the rail 4. A metal ball (9), Fig.4 (not shown) may be cast into the lower part of the guiding member 3. The member 3 is secured to the rod 2 by a rail 8 passed through a hub 6 of the member 3 so that the member 3 is rotatable on the rail 8 for use with a curved rail 4.
