[Also in Division B8] A disposable plastics sample container for use in the automatic analysis apparatus of Specification 1,264,965 comprises (Fig. 8) a vessel 20 having a support base, a channel formation 84 integral with the vessel for removably supporting an identification member within the channel formation and structure 86 for attachment of the identification member by engagement of 86 with a perforation in the identification member. Vessel 20 may have a passageway 142 which engages a post 152 on a sample rack (Fig. 12), when the identification member extends beyond the sample container in a vertical plane below top 148 of the rack (Fig. 11 not shown).
