Abstract

1,264,371. Electro-photographic processes. RICOH K.K. May 28, 1969 [May 30, 1968], No. 26846/69. Heading G2H. Apparatus for developing a latent electrostatic image 1a on a photo-conductive sheet 1 comprises a tank 5 containing developer 6. As the sheet 1 passes through the developer 6, the image 1a is urged into contact with photo-conductive layers 9 of successive rollers 8 by rollers 7. The sheet 1 is withdrawn from the tank by rollers 12. In a modification, Fig.2 (not shown) a single roller (8) has a releasable clamp (7) for holding the leading edge of sheet (1) and a photo-conductive layer (9). Rollers (16, 17) clean the layer 9 before it contacts a second sheet.
