Abstract

1,263,149. Cabinets. HYGENA Ltd. Feb.20, 1970 [April 2, 1969], No.17155/69. Heading A4B. A cabinet or like article of furniture is assembled from a set of parts comprising front and rear frames 2, 1 to which are screwed brackets 10 with sockets 10a, tie rods 9 with angled ends 9a which engage the sockets 10a to inter-connect the frames 2, 1 and end panels 4 which slide into grooves 12 formed in the frames 2, 1 adjacent their vertical edges. The cabinet may be fitted with hinged doors (3), Fig. 1 (not shown), drawers 6a and a shelf (8) and may be supported on a plinth (11). The tie rods 9 may support the shelf (8) and a bottom (13) of the cabinet and may act as runners for the drawers 6a.
