Abstract

1,262,654. Pressure transducer,pressure gauges. POST OFFICE. July 4, 1969 [July 30, 1968], No.36250/68. Headings G1L and G1N. A pressure transducer comprises a casing 1 divided by a bellows 2 into first and second non- communicating compartments 4, 5, the first being at atmospheric pressure and the second being filled with a gas of which the pressure is to be measured, which second compartment encloses, a potentiometer 14 the slider 16 of which is connected to the end face of the bellows. Alternatively the potentiometer may be connected to the end face of the bellows and the slider to the casing. An indicator rod 13 with calibration marks on it adjacent the end remote from the bellows end-face to which it is attached is slidable within the bore 9 to indicate pressure difference.
