1,261,665. Printing apparatus. POLYGRAPH, LEIPZIG KOMBINAT FUR POLYGRAPHISCHE MASCHINEN UND AUSRUSTUNGEN VEB. 22 July, 1970, No. 35554/70. Heading B6C. A sheet-fed rotary printing machine incorporates a sheet transfer mechanism, operating between two printing mechanisms, whereby sheets may either be passed from.one mechanism to the other to receive successive impressions on the same side of each sheet, or may be turned, by means of a pivoted gripping bar, for printing on. their previously unprinted sides. The pivoted gripper bar introduces the sheet into. the second printing mechanism with what was formerly its trailing edge leading, and may be driven from adjustable cams so that its action can be suited to varying lengths of sheet.
