Abstract
1,257,466. Mutiple fastenings. ARTHUR SHAW MFG. Ltd. 16 May, 1969 [15 Feb., 1968], No. 7534/68. Heading E2A. A bolt comprises a bar 1 slidable in a groove in a window sash and is reciprocatable to engage an end in a keeper plate 23 secured to a window frame 4 by turning a pivoted lever 13 by a handle 17 so as to project into a slot 6 in the bar, the head of the lever engaging in a tapering slot 21 in a keeper plate secured to the window frame 4. The keeper plate 23 has two slots in order that the window is selectively held in the closed or partly open position. The bar 1 is secured in the groove by screws engaging in elongated slots 7 in the bar, or by straps secured to the base of the groove. A bar 1 may be secured to opposite sides of the window sash.
