Abstract

[Also in Division Fl] A squirting or drenching gun, (see also Division Fl), for oral or rectal administration of liquids to livestock, comprises a piston 13 reciprocated by a spring-loaded trigger 20, liquid being drawn from a reservoir into cylinder 15 via pipe 18, rod 11 and valve 17, and being discharged via valve 16 and nozzle 4. In Fig. 2, the quantity delivered is adjustable by an eccentric disc 25 mounted in the gun casing 1 and rotatable by a knob on the outside of the casing, the knob indicating the quantity. Flats may be provided on disc 25 to define a number of fixed delivery quantities. The nozzle and cylinder assembly 4, 5, 9 is attached to casing 1 by a bayonet-type connection, Fig. 1 (not shown). In Fig. 8, the trigger 120 is mounted at the rear of the handle, and delivery adjustment is effected by a disc 125 with a projection 143b.
