Abstract
1,250,648. Reciprocating pumps and motors; rotary pumps. VON ROLL A. G. Dec. 16, 1968 [Dec. 15, 1967], No. 59765/68. Headings F1A and F1F. A swash-plate pump, motor or hydrostatic transmission comprises pump or motor units 1, 2 in a common housing 5 with their rotary cylinder blocks carrying inter-meshing gears 17, 18 forming a gear-pump, e.g. for supplying liquid to the units. Gear-pump body 19 is secured in the housing by a rod on which it is slidable axially for alignment with the gears, Fig. 1 (not shown). In Fig. 3 (not shown) the rod securing body 19 is hollow and is connected to working space 24 to form a supply or delivery duct. An intermediate gear may be located between gears 17 and 18 to form two gear-pumps. For operation as a transmission, the gear of the motor unit is rotatable relative to its cylinder block to permit variation in speed between the cylinder blocks.
