Abstract

1,193,704. Reciprocating pumps and motors. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. Aug. 2, 1967 No.35574/67. Heading F1A. In a pump or motor of the type comprising rotors 11, 12 the axes of which are off set, each rotor having corresponding bores 19, 20 the bores 20 having pistons 23 slidable therin, the pistons have sockets 29 which engage ball end portions on the, members 22 mounted in the bores 19. Bores 24, 28 allow liquid to reach the recesses 31 formed in the sockets 29 and the rubbing surfaces of the slippers 26. The bores in the rotors may be disposed in conical formation. The bearing 15 is of the hydrostatic type and is fed with liquid from the high pressure region of the pump or motor.
