Abstract
1,250,402. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems; pure fluid amplifier. GARRETT CORP. Jan.13, 1969 [Jan.15, 1968], No.1840/69. Headings G3H and G3P. The receiver channels 41, 42, Fig.1 of a proportional fluid amplifier are movable bodily about a pivot 36A relative to the power jet 40 to regulate the relative flow into these channels. In the arrangement shown in Fig.1, block 36 carries channels 41, 42 and is moved by an actuator 13 and linkage 15, 44, 48 in response to pressure differences in conduits 21, 22 which are connected to the output channels 28, 29 of an amplifier 12 controlled by the pressures in channels 41, 42. Thus the apparatus maintains member 14 in a predetermined position. Fig. 2 shows a pressure regulator in which block 52 carrying output channels 58, 59 is moved about pivot 56 by set screws 63 to a position in which the flow from jet 55 is biased into channel 58 so that amplifiers 10A, 71 urge valve 66 towards an open position thereby increasing the downsteam pressure applied to control channel 78 so increasing the flow into channels 59 and 76 to return the valve towards its closed position.
