1,249,834. Brake blocks. BRIDGESTONE CYCLE KOGYO K.K. 28 Nov., 1969 [15 Aug., 1969], No. 58416/69. Heading F2E. A brake block for bicycle rim brakes comprises a body 4 of resilient rubber material with a friction contact surface 5 and having a plurality of parallel, mutually spaced, laterally extending holes 6 adjacent the friction contact surface 5, each hole being open at both ends only thereof or one end only (Figs 6 to 7C, not shown) at the sides or side of the body respectively. In the latter case alternate blind holes open from opposite sides of the body.
