Abstract

1,249,664. Xerographic development electrode. RANK XEROX Ltd. Dec. 19, 1968 [Dec. 26, 1967], No.60360/68. Heading G2H. A development electrode for use with cascade development apparatus comprises a plurality of conductive segments 28 arranged to leave apertures 32 between them through which toner particles may enter the development zone, and having deflecting plates 34 adjacent the apertures to deflect a proportion of the toner flow through each aperture so that fresh developer enters at spaced intervals along the development zone. The electrode may be arcuate for use in a conventional xerographic machine employing a drum.
