Abstract

1,247,100. Uncured butadiene polymer/ crystalline polyisoprene compositions. POLYMER CORP. Ltd. 9 Dec., 1969 [13 March, 1969], No. 60030/69. Heading C3P. The invention comprises a composition consisting of 1-25 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of total polymers, of a synthetic crystalline isoprene transpolymer having at least 70% of its units in the trans-1,4 configuration, and 99 to 75 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of total polymers, of an uncured elastomeric butadiene polymer. Elastomeric butadiene polymers specified are cis-1,4-polybutadiene, styrene/butadiene rubber, especially styrene/butadiene rubber that has been prepared in the presence of an organometallic catalyst. Other ingredients including vulcanizing agents, pigments, and fillers, may also be included.
