Abstract

1,245,989. Tube mills. TRELLEBORGS GUMMIFABRIKS A.B. 26 Nov., 1968 [19 Dec., 1967], No. 56141/68. Heading B2A. A wall 1, 2, Fig. 1, of a drum or tube mill, has a lining comprising plates or rods of wear resistant material. As described anchoring elements 3..5 are fastened at spaced intervals to the wall or walls of a mill by devices, e.g. stud bolts 6 pivoted on or in the wall and the lining plates or rods are attached to the elements 3..5, if desired, by connecting strips 8, 9. Elements 3..5 may be welded, adhesive bonded, screwed, bolted or pinned to the strips 8, 9. Lifter ribs 11, Fig. 3, may be bonded over or between the joints between plates 10. The lining plates or rods may be made of manganese steel or elastomeric material. When the latter is used the strips 8, 9 are laid at an oblique angle to the elements 3..5, and the helical arrangement encourages a sorting effect on the grinding elements. (For Figure see next page)
