1,245,832. Hub cap locking device. D. R. PARKER, J. DEAN, K. SEVILLE, and R. H. JACKSON. 29 Nov., 1968 [28 Aug., 1968], No. 40998/68. Heading B7C. [Also in Division E2] A vehicle wheel assembly includes a device for locking a cover plate F on to the wheel which comprises a bracket D attached to the wheel and locking means K passing through a central hole in the cover plate and a rectangular hole E in bracket D. The locking means are operated by means of a key N unique to the lock which rotates a plate O which can pass through the hole E at one orientation but not in a second orientation at 90 degrees to the first. The bracket may be attached to the wheel by being fitted on to the wheel mounting studs B or by some other means such as welding or riveting.
