Abstract

1,241,276. Embossing. STATNI VYZKUMNY USTAV KOZEDELNY. 3 March, 1969 [24 April, 1968], No. 11101/69. Heading B6J. [Also in Divisions C6 and D1] A machine for ironing or embossing leather or cardboard comprises an ironing or embossing cylinder mounted on a shaft 3 and having a removable jacket 10 co-operating with one or more pressure rollers 22 suspended from shaft 3 on suspension members 19. The jacket 10 encloses a space 12 through which heating medium may be circulated. The suspension members 19 comprise hydraulic cylinders 15 to permit adjustment of the nip pressure and to allow cylinder(s) 22 to be lowered for removal of jacket 10. The material 27 to be worked may be fed into the machine on an endless band 26.
