Abstract

1,237,111. Making alloys. INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd. June 19, 1968 [March 25, 1968], No. 29178/68. Addition to 1,207,538. Heading C7D. The process of the main application is modified in that it is applied to the dispersion of materials other than graphite in a metallic matrix. The dispersed material may be oxide, carbide, nitride or boride. For example silicon carbide may be dispersed in aluminium, zinc or copper, diamond in aluminium or zinc, mica in zinc, lead aluminium or magnesium, heavy metal oxide in lead, or silica, magnesia or alumina in copper, nickel or aluminium. Dispersions of molybdenum sulphide may also be produced.
