Abstract

1,236,868. Lamp failure alarms. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. 18 Nov., 1969, No. 56332/69. Heading G4N. A warning lamp 19 is lighted and maintained lighted through a holding circuit when a lamp 1-15 of a road vehicle fails. Failure of a lamp unbalances differential windings 47, 49 or 29, 31 of a relay to close contacts 21 thus energizing a relay 37 to close contact 39 on to a locking magnetic contact 23 which forms a holding circuit for warning lamp 19. A test switch 27 is provided. Lamps 13, 15 are brake lamps operated by a switch 11.
