Abstract

1,236,724. Hooks. H. WICHARD & CIE S.A.R.L. 16 Feb., 1970 [4 March, 1969], No. 7260/70. Heading E2A. A jib snaphook freely slidable on a stay 9 comprises a body 1 and a ring 10 for closing the hook, the ring being open and having its two end portions retained in respective holes 11, 12 one on each side of the body, which holes are offset with respect to each other so that the ring is resiliently deformed in order that it bears elastically on the inner surface of the tip of the hook. The bolt rope 5 of a jib 6 is retained in a notch 2 in the body by a rope 7 passing through holes 3, 4 one on each side of the notch.
