Abstract

1,234,450. Knitting-machines. KARL MAYER TEXTIL - MASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. 1 Nov., 1968 [3 Nov., 1967], No. 51844/68. Heading D1C. A Raschel warp machine has a fall plate 28, mounted on the guide bar hanger, reciprocated transversely to the oscillating movement so that the bottom edge 47 of the plate describes a path substantially parallel to the plane 50 of the needles. The absence of horizontal movement ensures that yarn is accurately pulled down the needles. The full plate is suspended on stems 29 movable in bearings 30 of brackets 31 fixed to the hangers. The required transverse movement is derived from arm 35 pivoted to the bracket and the stem, and rocked by horizontal movement of rod 36.
