Abstract

1,233,113. Insulated wall structure. BASF CORP. 19 Aug., 1969 [11 Oct., 1968], No. 41340/69. Heading E1B. An insulated building wall comprises a masonry structure 10 with an insulating panel of e.g. polystyrene foam, formed from several interfitting panel sections 40 (Fig. 4) attached to the masonry structure by adhesive strips 46 extending along the faces of their bearing portions 32 and a number of spaced reinforcing ribs 50, 52 cast about rods 20 and hardened in situ in vertical pockets formed by panel recesses 33 and the adjacent masonry structure. Where the masonry structure requires special reinforcement an abnormallylarge reinforcing rib may be constructed (position D, Fig. 3).
