Abstract

123,014. Haynes, E. F. Aug. 31, 1918. Blades, vanes, and the like.-Relates to aerial bombs adapted to be armed by wind vanes carried by a nose cover screwing on the end of the firing-pin, and consists in a method of securing the vanes to the cover. Each vane 4 is stepped at its inner end to form a short broad tongue 6 which is formed with two or more projections 7. The tongue and projections are inserted through an inclined slot 8 in the nose cover 1, and the projections 7 are headed over.
