Abstract

1,229,932. Phosphating steel sheets electroplated with Ni-Zn alloys. NIPPON STEEL CORP. July 16, 1968 [July 24. 1967], No.33825/68. Headings C7B and C7U. A steel sheet, which may be zinc-coated, coated with a Ni-Zn alloy is phosphated and may be subsequently chromated. The Ni-Zn alloy may be applied by using electro-plating baths comprising (g/l.) (a) zinc sulphate 100. nickel sulphate 50, sodium sulphate 75, ammonium sulphate 40, ammonia 250 c. c. /1. (b) zinc oxide 15 nickel chloride 50, ammonium chloride 250, boric acid 20, (c) nickel sulphate 17À6. zinc sulphate 19À6, pyrophosphate 260À6.
