Abstract

122,981. Twigg, A. C. May 25, 1918. Attachments for shaping and slotting.-A hand-operated press 2 is provided with a work-holder comprising a compound sliderest with work-securing devices, so arranged as to enable slotting, shaping, and like cutting operations to be performed. A rotary table 10 may be mounted on the upper slide 8, or on a set-down lateral extension 8<A>, Fig. 11, thereof, to reduce the height of the holder, and for the same purpose one or both of the screws 6, 9, operating the slides 4, 8, may be mounted at one side of the slides. Detachable divided dials may be provided on the feed-screws, or scales on the slides. The table 10 may be operated by hand or by the worm 15, and may be slotted to hold clamping bolts.
