Abstract

1,227,899. Switchgear structures. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP. 3 Nov., 1969 [27 Nov., 1968], No. 53792/69. Heading H1N. A circuit breaker 7 is withdrawable from isolating contacts 21 by a camming action between a roller 41 and a slot in a fixed part 43. In the withdrawn position a lever 71 can be moved by a lock 81 to prevent roller 41 entering the slot so that the breaker may not be inserted; in this last position, only, the key may be removed from lock 81. Thus if only one key is provided, only one of a group of circuit breakers (not shown) in adjacent cubicles may be inserted.
