Abstract
1,226,491. Laminated stretch material. INTERNATIONAL PLAYTEX CORP. 17 Feb., 1969 [16 Feb., 1968], No. 8560/69. Heading B5N. A porous laminated stretch material 1 comprises an inner foraminous layer 2 of an elastomeric substance with interconnected elements 3 defining holes 4 and fabric layers 5 and 7 laminated to opposite surfaces of the inner layer. The elastomeric substance may be natural rubber or latex or any other natural or synthetic elastomer and the fabric layers may be of knitted stretch fabrics of nylon or "Helenca" yarn. The configuration of the foraminous layer may be imparted and delineated to the outer surface of one of the outer fabric layers. The foraminous material may be made by spraying the rubbery material, such as latex, on to a flat impervious forming surface of a forming conveyer. The fabric layers 5 and 7 are bonded to the foraminous layer 2 by two adhesive layers 40 and 30 respectively.
