Abstract

1,223,120. Clasps. BRODY WILLIAMS & SON Ltd. 19 July, 1968 [20 July, 1967; 8 May, 1968], Nos. 33460/67 and 21810/68. Heading E2A. A fastening for a bracelet comprises two parts 1 and 2 attachable to the ends of the bracelet the part 2 consisting of a plate 9 with a neck portion 10 and two projections 11, the part 1 consisting of a hollow member with top and side openings 12, 14 so that the projections are engageable within the member 1 and a clip member 4 is pivotable to lie over the two parts. The clip member has two lugs 4 which engage between the projections 11 and side wall 15. In a modification the part 1 has a loop the sides of which engage in two recesses in an outer well of a channel shaped part 2. The clip member has one lug which engages between the loop and the inner wall of the channel. Alternatively the channel shaped part 2 has an L shaped slot and the part 1 is U shaped with a cross piece which engages in the slot.
