Abstract

1,221,199. Magnetic masking strip. COAST LINES Ltd. 24 July, 1969 [25 July, 1968], No. 35437/68. Heading HIP. A flexible strip of e.g. natural or synthetic rubber for application to a ferrous structure, e.g. a ship, to define a straight cutting line between paints of different colours sprayed on, comprises therein a plurality of transverse bar magnets, or an electromagnetic loop of D.C. energized conductor, or a length of magnetized tape, whereby lengths of such a strip may be removably attached to the structure.
