Abstract

1,220,113. Stirrer. G. A. STAAF. 25 April, 1968 [25 April, 1967], No. 19704/68. Heading B1C. A stirrer comprises an axial-flow propeller 18 secured to a shaft 17 which carries a guide 19 adapted to divert axial flow from the propeller radially away from the shaft. The stirrer may be rotated in a container 11 provided with vanes 20. The guide 19 may also consist of one or more truncated cones on a circular disc, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown).
