Abstract

1,219,811. Multiple fastenings. BLOXWICH LOCK & STAMPING CO. 8 April, 1969 [9. Jan., 1968], No. 1344/68. Heading E2A. A fastening for a door comprises a rotatable operating bar with a forked fastening member at each end, each fastening member consisting of pairs of limbs 35, 37 and 34, 36 with a boss 41, the limbs 36, 37 are engaged between keeper lugs 23, 24 projecting from an attachment plate 21 by rotating the operating bar. The undersurface of the limbs 36, 37 is inclined and engages the inclined upper surface of a step 29 at the base of each lug. The limbs 34, 35 are wedge shaped and engage an inclined under surface of each step. Each fastening member has a shank 31 which fits into an end of the operating bar and is welded thereto. The operating bar is rotatable by a central handle which is lockable.
