[Also in Division A4] In shelf-serving apparatus in which alift truck provided with a load table 7 with driven rollers 8 serves shelving 1 provided with a load bearing roller train, a drive for the first or front shelf roller 2 is provided on the lift truck for facilitating the transfer of the load from truck table to shelf. The truck table has a crank 6 pivoted on the axis of its front roller 8 and having one arm carrying a deformable wheel 4 frictionally engaging and driven by roller 8 and the other arm connected to e.g. a hydraulic or pneumatic motor 5 whereby the crank is swung round to press the wheel 4 on to both frontally positioned rollers 2, 8 so that the forward drive of the table rollers is communicated via the wheel 4 to the shelf roller train.
