Abstract

1,217,102. Testing cast-in-situ concrete. J. R. DISTASIO. 19 March, 1969, No. 14530/69. Heading E1S. '[Also in Division G1] Cast-in-situ concrete columns and walls are tested by taking test cores therefrom using an essentially two-part mould, with an outer member A with a hole 12 in its peripheral wall, and an inner member B which can be telescoped within member A and has an opening in its peripheral wall which can be closed by a slidable cover plate 30, or revealed to allow concrete to pass through the hole 12 into the member B. Member B also has a detachable cover 34 which is slotted to allow plate 30 to pass therethrough. A wall 28 around the periphery of the hole 12 spaces the members apart, as do a pair of ribs 24 on the outer member and a single rib 26 on the inner member, which slides between the ribs 24. A peripheral flange 6 on the outer member A is secured to the shuttering 8. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,029,170.
