Abstract

1,211,634. Electric couplings. SATCHWELL CONTROLS Ltd. 31 Jan., 1969 [5 Feb., 1968], No. 5676/68. Heading H2E. In an electric coupling, wires are clamped between a screw 8 and the base 2 of a terminal 1 secured over a hole 13 in a circuit board 12 by tags 5 which also hold in place a nut 10 receiving screw 8. Tags 5 are twisted so that the lower angled edge of slots 6 engage the edge of hole 13. Wires may be soldered to tags 5 at 7 or in the case of a printed circuit boards, the tags may be soldered to the board. Terminal 1 may have an uneven surface to assist in clamping.
