Abstract

1,211,299. Jaw crushers. R. F. BRUNS. 7 March, 1968, No. 11061/68. Heading B2A. A jaw crusher comprises reversible and replaceable jaw members 27, 28 which each have a substantially planar rear surface 30 and a generally convex working face 32 provided with a concave recess 34 having spaced-apart teeth 36. The surfaces 35 of the recess 34 are inclined at an angle of 30 degrees relative to a plane defined by the surface 30. Each jaw member has bevelled ends 42 which are disposed at angle of 25 to 40 degrees relative to the plane defined by the surface 30. The depth of the roots of the teeth is one half the distance between the crowns of two adjacent teeth. The crusher comprises a reciprocatable jaw 12 pivoted at 20 and a fixed jaw 10.
