Abstract

1,211,260. Chimney tops. D. C. ALDERSON. 20 Oct., 1969 [22 Oct., 1968], No. 50051/68. Heading F4J. A chimney top pipe 10 adapted to fit into the top of a caravan stove pipe 12, has a downwardly extending cowl 13 which in co-operation with a louvre device 17 pivotally mounted on the pipe 10, closes off the chimney pipe outlet aperture 24 in the caravan roof. The louvre device 17 may fit just within or without the cowl 13. The cowl 13 may have a frusto-conical or a truncated pyramidical shape, the device 17 having either a ring or bore shaped cross-section respectively. The upper end of pipe 10 is covered by a mushroom cap 20 mounted on spaced bracket arms 22. Alternatively the cap may be rotatably mounted on an inverted U- shaped bracket carried on the top of the chimney pipe (not shown).
